Adult CPR

  1. 1.Check response & breathing
  2. 2.Call for help (1990)
  3. 3.30 compressions : 2 breaths
  4. 4.AED as soon as it arrives

Choking adult

  1. 1.Encourage cough
  2. 2.5 back blows
  3. 3.5 abdominal thrusts
  4. 4.Repeat until clear or unresponsive

Severe bleeding

  1. 1.Apply direct pressure
  2. 2.Add dressings — don't remove
  3. 3.Elevate if possible
  4. 4.Tourniquet for limb if life-threatening

Burns

  1. 1.Cool with running water 20 min
  2. 2.Remove jewellery
  3. 3.Cover with cling film
  4. 4.Do NOT apply creams or ice

Snakebite

  1. 1.Stay still — minimise movement
  2. 2.Immobilise the limb
  3. 3.Remove tight items
  4. 4.Get to a hospital with antivenom

Recovery position

  1. 1.Used for unresponsive but breathing
  2. 2.Arm out, knee bent
  3. 3.Roll on side
  4. 4.Tilt head to keep airway open
